We are excited to share proposals for the redevelopment of Spring Lodge, a Clarion owned site. The site is located in St Mary Cray Ward in the London borough of Bromley, at the junction of High Street and Elizabeth Way.
The existing building was built in the 1960’s and comprises 12 apartments and 1 house. The building was previously used as temporary accommodation for the homeless but was decanted to deal with a rodent issue. Spring Lodge is currently occupied by property guardians.
The proposed redevelopment of the site allows us the opportunity to build 20 new, high-quality homes. These homes will be of social rent tenure, each with private amenity space. We have focused on maximising the number of family sized homes, whereby 60% of homes are providing at least 4 bed spaces.
Our design team is led by the architect on the scheme, Ackroyd Lowrie, who have carried out an analysis of the local context in order to propose a design with appropriate massing and material palette to fit into the local context.
