Penny Fields House
Welcome to our dedicated Penny Fields House site, where you will be able to access useful documents and information and keep up to date with progress on the remedial works.
Clarion Housing Group will be commencing major building works to Blocks A, B and C of Penny Fields House as these blocks require extensive remediation works.
The residents of Penny Fields House are being supported by Clarion to move off-site to enable works to commence. No works are required to Edgar House or Diadem House, however, we need to suspend parking to the estate to facilitate the above.
Key points:
The contractor carrying out the remediation works will submit information which will include operating hours, noise and dust suppression arrangements, liaison with residents, etc. This document will be shared with all wider residents.
A Meet the Contractor event will be held before the works get underway. This will allow residents to raise points of concern directly with the contractor and Clarion staff.
A Resident liaison officer will be allocated to the project who you can contact directly with any issues.
Programme Building works to Penny Fields House will be phased, taking place one block at a time. Works will commence in Block A, with works in Block B & C to follow once Block A is complete.
The remediation works will take approximately 18 months per block.
Works are anticipated to commence in spring 2026.
Work on each block can only begin once we have vacant possession of the whole block which could delay the programme, therefore we are working closely with Penny Fields House residents to avoid this.
To enable commencement of the above works, parking throughout the development will now be suspended from 31/01/26. Therefore, we are extending existing parking permits at no extra cost until this date. We encourage you to continue to try to secure alternative parking arrangements as soon as possible.
There will be a hoarded zone which will run along the front of Penny Fields, which will allow skips and possibly a hoist to be positioned alongside the blocks. This will also allow for the safe separation between the works and pedestrians accessing the other blocks on the development. Construction vehicles will need the zone in front of Edgar House to turn around in, and they would not have room to do so if there were cars parked there.
